An American artist, Georgia-grown and Florida-flourished, Honey Hilliard was self-taught since early childhood.

After receiving an art degree from Florida State University, Honey was hired as the wildlife artist for the state of Florida. Her bird paintings adorn the state identification poster that has been in circulation 20+ years, in Florida's classrooms, state parks and hotels.

In her freelance career, Honey has achieved success as a self-represented artist, having created a visual language of colorful optimism that is relatable and inspiring.

"My work is usually bold and vibrant with bright layers of colors, though I sometimes feel a need to swing back to muted, subtle compositions. I find inspiration everywhere: nature, fashion, food, clouds, sky, ocean, mountains, the human figure, sunsets and sunrises. When compelled by an idea for a painting, I make notes in a tiny notebook I always carry, snap pics on my phone, then paint it as quickly as possible. My newest fascination is aerial drone photography, which is the basis of a growing new collection."
