The “Waterside” collection is a contemplative study of people in nature, springs, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, oceans, and trails in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Maine and France. There are a dozen 9x14’s on unstretched canvas, two stretched 8x10s, and one large scale waterfall 30x40, acrylic & oil. Waterside also represents the culmination of years of transforming my art practice to finally be completely portable, with a briefcase-sized carry-along studio which I’ve been taking with me to paint in nature, by the water, as far from distractions as possible. The “Waterside” collection is a contemplative study of people in nature, springs, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, oceans, and trails in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Maine and France. There are 9x14’s on un-stretched canvas (canvas & paintings travel much better when flat, instead of stretched onto stretcher bars) - you can frame them when you give them a home), stretched 8x10s, and 4 large scale paintings that will be the focal point of any room they inhabit, acrylic & oil.
