I never liked the term "Black Friday"; my family's Thanksgiving traditions did not include shopping. Instead, Thanksgiving weekend you would find my entire family gathered at our family cabin deep in the woods, cooking, eating a traditional and delicious Thanksgiving lunch, drinking and laughing. Then we would break into smaller groups and walk through paths in the woods, pick wildflowers, pine cones and leaves for decorations, swing on the screen porch, glide in the glider or nap in the hammock before heating up left overs and making turkey sandwiches for supper.
