Empowering Through My Breast Cancer Story
As an artist and holistic health advocate, sharing my breast cancer journey on The Patient Story (currently at 11,000+ views) is both humbling and powerful. I hesitantly share this, hoping my call for second opinions and holistic health shines through, despite the final edit, which simplifies my ("controversial"?) stance. I’m grateful for the platform— and your heartfelt comments. My message? To challenge outdated advice—like the myth that ovaries serve no function aside from childbearing so they may as well be removed (which I was told by 2 female physicians). Watch my interview here and join me in advocating for informed holistic choices.
Note: I have requested The Patient Story change subtitle to “Promoting Self-Advocacy for Holistic, Well-Informed Treatment” instead of "I Never Liked to Go To The Doctor" Also, “I tried to pretend it wasn’t happening” felt off—better would be “Time felt so short to make critical decisions.”
